What is Import-Export Code (IEC)?
The Importer-Exporter Code (IEC) is a key business identification number that is mandatory for Exports or Imports. No person shall make any import or export of Goods or Services, except after obtaining an IEC Number.
- IEC is necessary for Import or Export of Goods / Services
- IEC is based on PAN. However a separate certificate is issued

- Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)
